Dr. Chiu wrote, "Within thirty minutes of my arrival, the gathering space at the McConnell Center steadily filled with children, from pre-K to high school, some with parents and guardians, others with relatives and friends, to await the start of “Drawing Together.” Once Marek offered the first set of directions, heads bent over blank paper, hands got busy drawing. I was thrilled by the creative and joyful energy in the room. From scribbles by the youngest to manga by some of the parents, white pages transformed into stories by all manner of storytellers!"
It was a fun event!” Said Nathanael Lumintang, one of the kids. I agree with him, it was a very nice event and we thank everyone: the kids, teenagers, youth and parents who came and participated in the event. THANK YOU, especially to Dr. Monica Chiu, UNH Professor and Mark Bennett, the Award Winning NH Cartoonist who amazingly taught us how to draw comics and for everything else.
